In a session, the Feldenkrais practitioner communicates the movements through slow, gentle touch. Comfortably clothed, the client is led through a series of precise movements that alter habitual patterns and provide new learning directly to the neuromuscular system. Due to the nonintrusive nature of the Feldenkrais Method, it has been found very effective for those with physical handicaps that prevent more traditional types of bodywork.
